Having worked as plumbers for a number of years now, we have seen our fair share of drains and alot of them clogged with food waste. Instead of thinking your drain can handle your leftovers, empty the waste into the bin and this will then to keep your drains clog-free.

Another common reason for drains clogging up is human hair. After having a relaxing shower or bath, your hair can often get washed down the plug hole. Instead of cleaning it out after each wash or regularly, some may leave it to build up over time, resulting in a clogged drain. This can be easily avoided, by clearing away any hairs (sounds gross but it needs doing) from around the shower or bath, including the plug holes and disposing of them in a bin.
